Altera adds Hoogvliet supermarket in Zeist to its portfolio

Altera recently added a supermarket to its portfolio at a promising location in the centre of Zeist. The supermarket, with a gross floor area of approximately 2,000 m², was handed over to Hoogvliet Beheer on 19 February, and the opening ceremony for consumers took place on 14 March. The supermarket is part of “The Yarn”, a newbuild project developed by Era Contour. As well as the Hoogvliet supermarket, The Yarn consists of 40 deregulated sector rental apartments and two retail units. Altera will also take ownership of the apartments.

The site is well located in the centre of Zeist with a dedicated parking area adjacent to the supermarket.

Riny Kouwen of Hoogvliet Beheer said:

“We’re extremely pleased that, after many years without a presence in Zeist, we can finally give consumers an opportunity to shop in an attractive and spacious low-cost Hoogvliet supermarket offering the latest retail formulas. The supermarket also forms part of a superb newbuild project at a prominent location on the main through route in central Zeist.”

This acquisition by Altera marks a further advance in the retail fund’s strategy focused on convenience centres and supermarkets. This town centre investment is an excellent addition in a strong municipality.

Sweco Vastgoedmanagement will manage the property on behalf of Altera.
