Altera expands its convenience portfolio

Altera has increased the Food & Convenience assets in its retail portfolio by acquiring the Zuidhoek shopping centre in Leusden. The modern shopping centre was built in 2012 and has a floor area of 2,600 m², of which 1,600 m² has been let to the Dirk van den Broek supermarket. The neighbouring Trekpleister, Auke Deli en Vers, Team Kappers and Cafetaria retail units were also acquired.

The Zuidhoek shopping centre is located in a desirable neighbourhood of Leusden: the catchment area has high incomes, a large proportion of families and a growing population.

Erwin Wessels: “We’re delighted with this acquisition. The neighbourhood shopping centre is located in a strong municipality, making it an appropriate investment – both in the short and long term. It marks a further advance in our strategy focused on Food & Convenience.”

Altera acquired the centre from a private investor. Pels Rijcken acted as legal advisor to Altera.
