Altera launches pilot with in-shower heat exchanger by Sanura

On the first day of the Provada real estate fair, Niels Van Wonderen of Altera Vastgoed and Bart Bergmans of Sanura put their signatures to a new collaborative agreement. The partnership stems from the sustainability challenge that was held earlier and organised with The Green Village.

The Flatmate is an innovative new type of in-shower heat exchanger that can be easily connected to a standard shower tap. The system uses heat from the used shower water to warm up the cold pipes, and thus the new shower water. The system is easy to install with just a few simple tools. The fact that the heat does not escape down the drain means tremendous energy savings in the shower.

Another of the Flatmate’s big advantages is that it can be installed immediately, directly helping to reduce energy consumption. The pilot will be launched at the complexes in Haarlem (single-family homes) and Hoofddorp (multi-family homes).

Altera strives for lasting sustainability in its portfolio through the use of proven solutions and the ongoing search for sustainable technical innovations that fit its portfolio profile and that can be implemented in existing and/or new construction.
