Altera sells Rijnplein shopping centre in Alphen aan den Rijn

Real estate investor Altera Vastgoed NV (hereinafter: Altera) has sold the Rijnplein shopping centre in Alphen aan den Rijn. The property comprises approximately 12,800 m² of retail space, which is currently being leased to H&M, MediaMarkt and various local entrepreneurs.

Erwin Wessels, CIO of Altera: “With this sale, we are continuing our investment strategy, which is aimed at creating a portfolio consisting of supermarkets and neighbourhood shopping centres. Convenience real estate in areas with robust demographics contributes to a stable direct return for our investors and is less sensitive to the effects of e-commerce and cyclical changes.”

Altera has sold the property to a partnership of private investors represented by JansenDeJong. CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield advised Altera during the sale.
