Altera Vastgoed Acquires Convenience Centre De Vlashoeck

Real estate investor Altera Vastgoed NV (hereinafter: Altera) has acquired convenience centre De Vlashoeck in Bergschenhoek from Strada Vastgoed BV. The centre of approximately 4,200 m² includes a Plus supermarket and a Kruidvat drugstore.

The centre accommodates about ten stores and dates back to 2004. De Vlashoeck has an underground parking garage with 160 free parking spaces and is part of the core shopping area in Bergschenhoek.

The acquisition follows the earlier acquisitions of the Brouwhorst convenience centre in Helmond and the supermarkets in Lisse, Nijmegen and Zwijndrecht. Vlashoeck will become part of Altera’s sustainable food & convenience portfolio.

Jaap van der Bijl, CEO Altera: “The addition of the Vlashoeck district shopping centre to our portfolio has increased the share of convenience real estate in our portfolio to over 85%. Driven by our investment vision, this share will grow further in the coming period. With this we offer an investment strategy that is aimed at a stable direct return, is less sensitive to e-commerce and conjunctural changes, and contributes to social cohesion in the neighbourhood.”

Strada Vastgoed BV is a nationwide real estate investment company that specifically focuses on (long-term) investments in supermarkets.

Altera was commercially assisted in the purchase by McDevitt, which specializes in retail real estate consulting and focuses cross border on buying and leasing as well as buying and selling.
