Altera Vastgoed NV (hereafter: Altera) has taken delivery of The Ambassador on Eisenhowerlaan in The Hague from Van Wijnen Stolwijk and is welcoming the project’s first residents.
The newly delivered property consists of 39 apartments and maisonettes, with a 45-space parking garage beneath the complex, separate storage areas and four bicycle parking facilities. The apartments are located from the ground floor to the fourth floor. Each residential floor has between nine and twelve apartments, which have been designed as one, two or three-bedroom homes. The apartments are completely gasless and all feature a balanced ventilation system with heat recovery. Solar panels fitted on the roof of the building have been connected to serve the central facilities.
As Altera CIO Erwin Wessels explains, “The completion of The Ambassador marks the end of an intensive process with construction firm Van Wijnen. A property that was once part of our office portfolio has been redeveloped into a sustainable residential location. The apartments reflect our investment strategy, which is geared towards servicing a range of target groups with a geographical focus on the Randstad urban region and adjacent residential areas.”
The apartment complex is located on the Eisenhowerlaan in the Statenkwartier district of The Hague. The Eisenhowerlaan is the line that separates the districts of Statenkwartier and Zorgvliet. Statenkwartier was constructed at the start of the 20th century. The location offers a high standard of living with plenty of amenities, and is situated in The Hague’s International Zone, opposite the Europol building. It can be reached by car from the end of the Utrechtse Baan (A12 motorway) in approximately 10 minutes. Trams 1 and 17 are only a short walk away and offer a high-speed connection to The Hague Central Station.
