Second phase of ground-level homes in ‘t Groene Wold in Almere completed

– For Real estate investor Altera Vastgoed N.V (Altera), last week marked the completion of the second phase of ‘t Groene Wold project by Vastbouw Vastgoedontwikkeling BV.

The tenants of the 62 completed ground-level houses were festively presented with the keys to their homes while enjoying a cup of coffee. All of the first 80 houses were already let at the time of their completion last year. The remaining 32 houses will be completed in Phase 3. Altera has purchased a total of 174 properties in ‘t Groene Wold project in Almere.

The residential blocks consist of corner and mid-terrace houses of 80 m2, 90 m2 and 104 m2, respectively. The spacious rear gardens are approximately 12 to 17 metres deep and contain private storage units. Parking is at ground level inside the courtyards, and the corner homes have two parking spaces on private property.

Completion of the third and final phase is scheduled for early May. For more information about renting at ’t Groene Wold, please visit www.hureninhetgroenewold.nl/.

Sustainability (mitigation and adaptation)

All homes will be gas-free and connected to an energy system consisting of an individual air-water heat pump and twelve solar panels. This allows residents to generate their own electricity to sustainably heat and cool their homes, ensuring an Energy Performance Coefficient of 0.0.

Rainwater is absorbed by bioswales and a large pond through ’t Groene Wold’s surface water. The project also offers a wide variety of greenery and planting, about 50% of which is zoned for urban and other agriculture. ’t Groene Wold will have an above-average amount of unpaved surface compared to other residential areas. Together with the ample of surface water and greenery, this will ensure that ’t Groene Wold becomes a climate-adaptive neighbourhood.

Altera’s CEO, Jaap van der Bijl, said: “We see tenants satisfied with this successful second phase completion, which meets their need for affordable single-family homes in the Randstad conurbation. The climate-adaptive character of the housing is a perfect fit for Altera’s sustainable and young residential portfolio.”
