Altera welcomes Rudy Verstappen to MT and appoints Thijs Guinee as Research Manager

Altera has integrated all of its strategic and policy-related ESG activities in a new ESG department with effect from first of January this year. Rudy Verstappen has taken on the role of Team Lead ESG, an appointment that makes him part of Altera’s management team.

Rudy joined Altera as ESG Manager in 2019, playing a key role in developing the organisation’s ESG policy and expanding Altera’s sustainability objectives. He has over 15 years of experience in sustainability in the financial and real estate sector.

Alongside Rudy, the ESG department consists of Janneke Pruijsen and together they will focus on further strengthening ESG within the organisation. One of the department’s core sustainability objectives, in close collaboration with Altera’s asset management departments, is to progress towards Paris Proof and climate-adaptive real estate.

Thijs Guinee has been appointed Research Manager from 1st of January this year, succeeding Kees van der Meulen, who is due to retire in 2024. Thijs joined Altera in 2021 as a Performance & Valuation Analyst. In this position, his focus in recent years was to provide expert analysis and advice on valuations and portfolio performance. In his new role as Research Manager, Thijs will translate housing market analysis, trends and changes across a range of markets into an optimum investment strategy for the residential portfolio.

Altera’s CEO, Jaap van der Bijl: “We have every confidence in the enthusiasm and professionalism that both Rudy Verstappen and Thijs Guinee bring to these positions, as they continue to make significant contributions to Altera’s business objectives and serve the interests of our stakeholders. We would also like to thank Kees van der Meulen for his sterling efforts over the past years.”
