The Mayor completed and fully let

Real estate investor Altera Vastgoed NV (hereinafter: Altera) has taken delivery of 24 rental apartments belonging to the final block (building seven) of The Mayor from the construction combination UBA/De Nijs Amstelveen v.o.f and is welcoming the first residents. This means The Mayor is now fully let.

The Mayor, the former KPMG building on Burgemeester Rijnderslaan in Amstelveen, consists of more than 300 housing units with 482 parking spaces, 14 motorcycle parking spaces and 316 storage units. Altera owns a total of 124 apartments ranging from 87 m² to 121 m², with 112 parking spaces in the car park, 12 parking spaces outside and 124 storage units. Rental of units started in the spring of 2022. They were completed in phases, five residential blocks at a time.

Altera CIO Erwin Wessels: “The completion of the final building and the final rental apartments marks a successful transformation into a sustainable residential location. Together with construction combination UBA/De Nijs, we look back at a pleasant collaboration on this special transformation and are pleased to offer lovely, sustainable housing units to our tenants. At Altera, we are convinced that our investment strategy, with an integrated ESG/SDG approach, will continue to deliver sustainable returns – returns with a positive impact for our shareholders, our tenants and society in general.”

With its energy being supplied by a new thermal energy storage system and roofs covered with moss sedum and solar panels, The Mayor meets all applicable sustainability requirements, in line with Altera’s ESG policy. In addition, the paved courtyards have made way for a green layout aimed at promoting biodiversity. In the car park on the building’s lower levels, parking spaces offering electric charging facilities have been made available.

The Mayor makes it easy for residents to communicate with each other and share information through the James Company community app. A coffee corner, gym and various hospitality facilities will further enhance the community feeling.

REBO Vastgoed Management manages the property on behalf of Altera. The first rental was taken care of by Wooove.
