Altera Vastgoed acquires Albert Heijn supermarket in Sas van Gent

Altera has purchased the Albert Heijn supermarket in Sas van Gent from De Nijs Soffers Bouwgroep. The individual supermarket has a total surface area of around 2,300 m² and its own car park, with 115 parking spaces.  The supermarket has an A+++ energy label.

A while ago, the existing Albert Heijn in Sas van Gent moved to a new construction site on Westkade. The new supermarket is considerably bigger and was completed and opened to the public in the summer of 2023. The Sasse Poort location is on the edge of the Sas van Gent residential area.

Jaap van der Bijl, CEO of Altera: “With an A+++ energy label, the acquisition in Sas van Gent contributes to our investment and sustainability strategy. Our convenience strategy is geared towards a stable direct return, while being less vulnerable to e-commerce and business cycles.”

Altera received commercial advice on this transaction from MaXoz and legal guidance from Dentons.
